How often can you change a username?

Snapchat allows one username change every 12 months

Snapchat’s help page counts 12 months to the day from your last change. The display name is separate and can be edited at any time.

Instagram lets you change in two places

You can change the username in Edit profile or Accounts Center. Instagram says followers may be notified and that a change on a widely followed account may need a review.

Instagram often allows a return to a previous name

Its page on previous usernames says you can usually change back if the name has not been taken by a new person and was not recently removed from an active account you do not own.

TikTok allows one change every 30 days

TikTok says a username can be changed once every 30 days and that changing it also changes your profile link. If you give up a username, TikTok says you cannot add it to an account for a short period.
