TikTok
A username can contain letters, numbers, underscores and periods, and a period cannot be added at the end. It can be changed once every 30 days, and changing it also changes the profile link. The nickname is a separate field shown to others.
Snapchat
Usernames must be 3 to 15 characters, use Latin letters, numbers and at most one hyphen, underscore or period, start with a letter and end with a letter or number. You can change it once every 12 months.
Why this matters for a claim
A claim that succeeds still has to produce a username the platform accepts. Check the rules before choosing the name.
